Why?

By giving to Charis you are partnering with us to directly support people who are affected by the sex industry.

No donation is too small, and regular giving helps us to plan more effectively for the future.

Your money will significantly help change the lives of some of the most at risk and exploited people in our society.

4. Leave a Legacy

Leaving a legacy is a significant way of continuing to support Charis. What difference does my gift make?

Here are some examples of how your financial support can help people who are affected by human trafficking or sexual exploitation:

£150 – Regular outreach.  Enabling a trained Charis team member to lead the outreach team for a month (1 or 2 nights per week); outreach is central to supporting those in the sex industry and maximises the chances of engaging with people by visiting them where they are working, whether that's on the streets or in sex establishments.

* Where requested, we can allocate your gift to a particular aspect of our work and let you know how it has been used to make a difference.

Donate goods

We are always grateful to receive items we can put in the First Contact Packs (ie lipsticks, lip glosses, liquid eyeliners or small chocolates), or you can donate baking equipment/ingredients for Forte Bakery

Please do contact us about how best to donate any items.

To ensure Charis offers good service provision the continuity of funding is vitally important.

Charis prioritises the building of trusting, long-term relationships with people in the sex industry. Building trust with people who have been exploited in the sex industry is time intensive and relies heavily on committed, well trained staff and volunteers.

The need to build these trusting relationships emerges from most research literature as a best practice principle for working with people in the sex industry and as the basis for exploring routes out.

Therefore Charis needs regular funding to enable us to:

  • Provide consistent one-to-one support and outreach to people in the sex industry
  • Offer on-going training for our staff and volunteers
  • Expand our team to increase how many people we can support
