We would be so grateful if you would consider fundraising for Charis to support the work we do. By raising money for Charis you are partnering with us to directly support people who are affected by the sex industry.
Charis is funded by donations from individuals, faith groups and businesses.
We have chosen not to apply for or rely on grants so that we are not required to meet other organisations’ outcomes for their funding, nor our work be shaped by them. This gives us freedom to support the people we work with in a person-centred way and in the most appropriate way for them. It also allows us to be able to be more responsive to the needs we see in the ever-changing sex industry.
Whether you would like to organise an online silent auction, do a sponsored sky-dive, host a movie night, organise a bake-off, complete a triathlon, gather a group to do a mud run, host a fundraising event, or whatever your thing is(!) to raise money for Charis, we recommend that you use Virgin Money Giving.
We have put some fundraising ideas below but we're sure you're probably more creative at thinking of things to do to raise money than we are!...
Don't forget to let the world know on social media about any fundraising that you do, and let us know at the Charis office too!
